Here's my birthday party post. We went downtown Minneapolis, stayed at the W Hotel, ate dinner at Hell's Kitchen, and went to a couple clubs - mainly Wellman's. It was a great night with LOTS of drinks and LOTS of fun. I was happy with the group that came out ... you all rock!!! I will say, I cannot party like that very often anymore... dare I say?
I am getting too old for this!

Tooth Update

Over Memorial Day weekend, my teeth started hurting really badly. I switched dentist offices {for financial reasons} and went in 2 afternoons last week. I was told that I needed a root canal. Joy.
Haha, check me out after walking out of the dentist's office for the 1st time last Friday afternoon. I left the office at 1230 and went to lunch with a couple of co-workers then headed to the dentist at 130. Got in the chair, got shot up with novocaine {my least favorite part!} and they began their digging. After taking out the filling in the tooth that they thought needed a root canal, she discovered the filling wasn't near the nerve so most likely not the tooth that was causing me so much pain. She got a 2nd opinion from another dentist there and they decided it was not the tooth and decided to take the filling out of the one next to it. The 2nd tooth they cleared out was the one that needed the root canal. But... my 1st dentist I saw evidently didn't do that type of root canal {more complicated somehow i guess..}, so I had to leave and then return at 4pm for the other dentist to do it. They filled the 1st one back up and put a temp filling in the one that required the root canal. I went to the park to pass the time and headed back in at 4. I didn't leave until about 530. The root canal itself wasn't entirely pleasant, although I have never had a 'pleasant' time in the dentist's chair. But having your mouth stretched to its max limits and having to have novocaine shot into your nerve mid-work... just not pleasant one bit! I still have to go back for a filling and a crown, then to have the crown placed, and also I am due for a 6 month checkup, including x-rays. Triple joy.

But, I am not in super pain anymore!! I am a little sore but didn't have to fill or take the vicodin prescription at all. Props to me. I'm not a fan of Rx painkillers. Ibuprofen is my friend right now.

AND...

pre-curling iron- ready to party!

I was back to "normal" on Saturday and ready to party for my 30th birthday party {for my friend and myself}. I haven't had a chance to check out the pics that we took on the 'party cam' {our little canon that we don't care if it gets handled a little more roughly ;)}
Pictures to follow. :)

I hope everyone had a great weekend.
I have 2 sick boys at home and it's going to be 2 late nights as we are needing to prep for a garage sale on Wednesday!!!!
*sigh*

Happy Monday !

It's what day??

OK, I thought yesterday was Tuesday when it was really Wednesday because evidently my mind is so chaotic that I can't even remember which day it is. Awesome. One more day separates us from the weekend and I only have to work until 1230 tomorrow. Whoop WHOOP. Then it's on to cooking/baking for my Mom's side's Family Xmas party on Saturday!!!! Tomorrow night is also going to be a mini-birthday celebration with Auntie & Uncle L&M ... yay! And then on Sunday, we are going to see "Clause", as B would call him. I hope it works out alright. I also plan on taking LOADS of pictures this weekend as I will have plenty reason to and need to practice on what I learned at my photography class!!!! I have already forgotten half of it, I need to find my study sheet. Bad student. :-P

With the help of my wonderful Mother and my glorious Husband, there will be cake pops at the party on Saturday. I forgot how time consuming the dipping process is!!!! I figured we could dip them after B went down for the night, and then spend the rest of the evening chilling out on the couch as we really do need that... but we didn't get "done" until 1130 and I had wanted to go to bed no later than 1030/11. Oops. And when I say "done", I mean there are still more to dip tonight. Joy. I am complaining a little bit but I know they will get rave reviews. P tried one last night... we did chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for the pops themselves and I picked up red, green, chocolate, and white choc with peppermint in them to try out. P was actually most hesitant about the peppermint-flavored ones but it just so happened that that was the one that had the most flaws..therefore, the one that was to be eaten!!!! And he LOVED it. Haha. Goes to show you should always try before judging certain flavors, right?? Sadly, I don't even care much for cake pops. I'm not huge into chocolate and they are soooooooo rich. But I do like to make them and see people's reactions to them. I'm a compliment-whore. :) It will hurt a bit, though, when people take a bite and set them down because there's so much more other good stuff to be stuffing their faces with on Saturday. It's going to be quite the spread!!!! I can't wait.

We have been slowly decorating the Christmas tree and I had to pull out my camera to capture it the other night. I could NOT get little B to smile while standing by it to save my life, though. But B still did his best helping with the ornaments and he definitely had his favorites. Yesterday I posted a video of the beginning of the ornament-hanging process if you missed it. He likes bells. He also likes our train ornament!!!!  I always shy away from taking pictures inside with flash, but since the addition of my external flash [thank you, Daddy P] last year for Xmas, I need to quit being such a baby about flash!

He is literally saying "Choo Choo" in this picture. :)

Anyway, my company Xmas party was last Saturday. We went to dinner and a play at the Guthrie Downtown Minneapolis. We got a hotel room for the night to avoid any driving issues and that was a wise move on our part as I drank all together way too much. It was a good night despite the hangover on Sunday, but as I get older I want to do that less and less. The hangovers get worse and worse and I'd rather be home cuddling and playing with B. Oh heck, I am growing up! ;-)

Me & P at dinner!

Getting to know the wives of the guys at work :)

Alright, enough babbling for the day. Happy Thursday !!!!
