5 Question Friday

1. How many pets do you have?
We have 1 dog named Lexxi. Before Bennett came along, she was our little {not so little at 45 lbs!} baby... and I remember telling people No! She will not be pushed aside once baby comes...never will happen. And now the exact thing that I swore wasn't going to happen.. has happened. Lexxi has definitely been pushed aside and we do feel guilty about that... but that's reality!!! We finally have a nice sized fenced-in yard for her to play in but she'd rather lay by the door on the deck... silly pup. Hopefully she will figure it out sooner than later. I know she would enjoy a puppy friend but I cannot even imagine that now.

2. If you could switch places with anyone in the world for one day, who would it be?
This is a very interesting question. At first thought, someone rich & famous comes to mind... but then thinking further, I think I would like to switch places with someone who is struggling, someone who encounters hardships on a regular basis, someone who has a hard, hard life. Sometimes I know it's hard for people to realize what they have, even though not always the very best, is so much more than others have. It's hard to get a grip on your own life when you obviously haven't lived a day in someone else's. As much fun as a day in the life of Julia Roberts would be... I think a day in the life of, say, a homeless person would be more substantial, more educational, more worth it.

3. What is your favorite money saving tip?

I love a deal. My mom has instilled this in my sisters & myself since we were quite young. She loved a great sale and now so do we!!! Who doesn't? I admit that I have become a bit cheap frugal, but I also know when to be able to pay top $ for something. I do find some great deals and it is such a rush! LOL, I'm a sale junkie. One tip I would give is if you are buying online... google coupon codes for the site you're buying from. More often than not, there is a code out there and can definitely save you some dough!!!! Retailmenot.com is a good one!

4. What do you want your kids to be when they grow up?
This question is funny because since Bennett was born, my Dad would see him do the smallest movement and he'd exclaim, "He's going to be a bodybuilder!" or "He's going to be a swimmer!" So funny. I want Bennett to be whatever makes him happy. The obvious parent answer, right? I do mean it. Growing up I didn't ever realize what all the school was for and wish someone would have sat me down and told me it really guides the rest of your life and your career. I, of course, hope he becomes a successful whatever he chooses... but only time will tell. We will support him all the way, as best that we can!

5. What is your favorite quote?
"Carpe Diem" and "To Thine Own Self Be True"

  1. I love your answer to question #2. Also, I just realized I forgot to email you back. The only thing I have bought so far is a portrait lens. I love it, but it doesn't have a zoom, so it takes some getting used to. What about you? Any lens suggestions?
