MDay.

We lost an hour. Suck.
It will be light when I get home. Rock!

How are you all coping with the loss of an hour? How about your LO's?? B seemed to be adjusting okay yesterday but I guess we'll see today how he does at daycare. He's been napping a lot better there - 1-2 hour naps and that helps with his whiny-ness at night. He has been a little more whiny than I'd like lately but I attribute that to his teething... which I hope finishes up soon!!! Poor B.

I took lots of pictures over the weekend but haven't had a chance to upload most of them as my stupid internet at home tends to cut out and it messes up my entire batch upload and I have to start it all over again. This means that I have to upload in much smaller batches and I started that at midnight last night and therefore only managed to get a few actually done. I plan to upload the remaining pictures tonight. With the weather here in MN finally seeming to warm up a little bit, we hung outside for a few minutes after returning home from some errands yesterday. I can't wait until it gets nicer out so that we can take lots and lots more awesome pictures outside. You cannot beat natural light!!! :)

I have gotten comments on how to make the banner that I have put at the top of my blog. I'll have to try and do a post on that later tonight as I haven't done much here at the office and I feel the tiniest bit bad about that one. Procrastination is a big part of my life, but I will have to get this crap done sooner or later so I better knock it off. ;-) I will say that the banner was totally easy.  Post to come!!!

This past Saturday, I was able to make a trip out to the Mall of America to visit my friend, Danielle, at work there. She is a makeup artist and works at the Laura Mercier counter. I hadn't heard of her makeup before but I am giving it a whirl. I was extremely pleased with the coverage the foundation gave me but I am having a little trouble duplicating it on my own. At the store, she used so many different things underneath the primer & foundation [I only purchased these 2 things out of the main base layers she used at the store] that I'm not sure if that is what's causing the difference or if it's my application? I don't have much experience with liquid foundation, but that's what I am using now. It's a little pricier than I'd like to pay, but I guess it's worth a try for now and I also want to see how long it lasts! I am always looking for a good product for a better price, so I'm sure I'll be trying less expensive options as well. I have been looking at site's "Top Makeup for Less" lists and will be purchasing and trying them all. I have this app called "Evernote" on my iPhone and I really like it. I have listed on one of those notes in the app, all of the listed makeup that I want to try for myself. I will try to post what I think of each piece as I try it. I would also love to hear what you guys use and love??!

Alright. Back to the grind, kids.

Happy  Monday! :-P

  1. Can you believe it's already Monday again?! AHH!

This time change is sucking. It took us all day yesterday to adjust to it, and AVa's nap was WAY off schedule, leading to one cranky-pants little girl in the afternoon. Today seems much better, though!

I'm really interested in making a banner for my blog, so can't wait to hear how you made it.

Oh, and I use a lot of Cover Girl products. Damn my budget :P. I'd use Bobbi Brown and MAC if I had the money for it right now! I've heard good things about Laura Mercier, though!

  2. Liam seemed to have adjusted to the time change pretty well, surprisingly. I, on the other hand, still want that extra hour back!

  3. Today definitely feels like a Monday. I'm tired, the house is dirty, and I feel so disorganized today. I hope your day hasn't been too bad.

Good luck on finding the right make up that works for you. Let me know what you find that seems to be good for the price. I'm a Neutrogena make up girl. I've tried the expensive brands but I wasn't able to find anything that I really liked, especially for the price. I do use Benefit eye concealer which is on the spendier side I love it, but that's about it for expensive make up. Post some pictures! I'd love to see some photos of that pretty face of yours with different kinds of make up. :)

  4. Asher seemed to sleep well, but yesterday afternoon he was really cranky and last night was a total disaster. Today's naps were awesome, so I hope we're back on track!

I use Bare Essentials make-up and LOVE it! Great coverage and super lightweight.
