I was told to use both and thought it seemed to be a bit much, but the fan helps to reduce the risk of asthma and sids so I'm all for it!

Congrats on the breastfeeding. I have also exclusively breastfed and I'm really proud of that. It was easy while I was home but being back at work is really hard. I already pump 3 times a day at work and have just added a morning session before leaving. I make just enough for Jack to have at daycare the next day. Ugh. I have heard of pumping after every nursing session or simply adding another pumping session somewhere. After awhile, your body will make milk in anticipation for that session. I've thought about adding a session before going to bed, but I don't think I would be able to get up in the middle of the night to pump. I guess if it came right down to it I would, but I'd be miserable! I can't believe you do that! Breastfeeding and pumping take a lot of dedication! I hope it continues to work for you. I am also hoping to make it to 6 months and hopefully longer. We can do this!

Congrats on the sleep too! It's so nice getting those longer stretches!

Hooray for warm weather! We're supposed to see the 80's this weekend. It's supposed to be nice here in Missouri as well.

Hunter doesn't really like tummy time either, but he tolerates it for a little while.

As far as the bmilk, no tips really to increase supply, but good for you for keeping up with it for so long! I had to quit around 10-12 weeks due to not having time to pump, and I miss it every day. =( Good job lady!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683817496456861986.post-54114243401112714062010-03-29T11:32:33.065-05:002010-03-29T11:32:33.065-05:00Do you drink coffee? I'm not too worried about caffeine in the milk because I drink a cup right after pumping and by the time my next pumping rolls around it has been 2-3 hours.

You can get fenugreek capsules at GNC, co-ops, and health food stores. That can help too if you're not into drinking gallons of mother's milk tea.

When Lily had gas I would hold her kind of over my shoulder so her tummy was being gently pressed by the front of my shoulder. That got the burps right out.PikaPikaChickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06324711203780065688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683817496456861986.post-1113021211810395782010-03-29T11:16:27.388-05:002010-03-29T11:16:27.388-05:00About wanting to increase your supply - basically ...About wanting to increase your supply - basically what my lactation consultant had me do was take an herbal supplement called More Milk Special Blend, as well as pumping after every feeding. I would say that the herb alone, though, would do just fine - my supply was just low. You can get it at Motherlove.com, or any local maternity boutique usually. I recommended it to a girlfriend and it's worked for her as well :)

With regards to his tummy, have you tried gas drops or gripe water? Also, a warm bath can do wonders!

Hope this helps!Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18367847227787762246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683817496456861986.post-12806234825182450242010-03-29T10:20:29.063-05:002010-03-29T10:20:29.063-05:00Ug I just posted a long comment and it didn't ...Ug I just posted a long comment and it didn't go through :(

Basically it said...

Have you tried Mother's Milk tea? It really helps. I took it for awhile. There is also a pill your Dr. can prescribe you to increase your milk.

Btw, don't worry about tummy time. Makayla used to hate it and was terrible at it, then one time I put her down and she could suddenly hold her head up. Give your LO time.

Also, I'm very impressed your working fulltime and giving your baby 100% breastmilk. I'm not sure I could do that! Good for youNaomi https://www.blogger.com/profile/09682023066863648311noreply@blogger.com
